Stagecoach have released the following statement regarding disruption to services within South Lancashire.
Strike Action - Disruption to services in South Lancashire
Due to forthcoming proposed Industrial Action, we regret to inform customers that our services in South Lancashire will not operate on the dates listed below.
·Thursday 14th, Friday 15th & Saturday 16th October
·Friday 22nd & Saturday 23rd October
This will affect services 1, 1a, 2, 2a, 3, 8a, 9, 59, 61, 68, 109, 111, 125, 280, 315, X2, X8 and all school/college services.
(Stagecoach services 40, 41 & 42 into Preston and Blackpool from Lancaster depot will operate as normal).
Why are drivers going on strike?
Strike action is being taken by Unite the union over pay.
We have offered our drivers a pay rise which meets inflation and will increase pay by 6.2% over a two year period.
Will any buses run during this time?
No, all South Lancashire services operating from Preston & Chorley will not operate. Services 40, 41 & 42 into South Lancashire will not be affected as well as all other Stagecoach services operating in Lancaster, Morecambe & Wigan area.
Will I get days back on my ticket if there is a strike?
