As Catholics, Christians and people of goodwill, we often journey through the stations of the cross especially during Lent. This is a very special time which allows us to reflect on Jesus' final steps before his crucifixion. For the last year, we have all been on a journey, with many of us experiencing difficult times; some good, and some not so good.
As we prepare for the greatest events in Church history, we all know how important Easter Sunday is - the day that Jesus rose from the dead. Please watch the video below to journey through the stations of the cross around school, here at St Mary’s Catholic High School Leyland.
We are inviting you to complete a Lenten challenge! As you've seen in the video we have lots of colourful stations of the cross, positioned around St Marys. We know you are amazing at drawing and being creative, therefore, we would love you to use your talents to create your own modern day station of the cross. This can be of any design, with lots of colours - the brighter the better!
We would also like you to write your own prayer or poem that can go with your stations of the cross.
When we receive your artwork, prayers or poems, we will display them on our social media sites as well as in our prayer corner at school.
Please download the templates below.
