We can easily take Christmas cards for granted, but there are other people in other parts of the world who would love to know that someone cares enough to remember them at this time of year.

As is tradition with our school community, cards were designed with a special Christmas greeting and sent to the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem. Here at St. Mary’s, we have a passion to share the joy of the Gospel with everyone we meet, especially for people around the world to know that they are loved and remembered in prayer. This perfect opportunity allows us to ‘let our light shine’.

Loneliness is a growing problem among older people, and in care homes it can be a particularly difficult issue to resolve, enhanced especially with the current pandemic. It's always lovely to receive a card through the post and this often sparks conversation and encourages residents to talk to each other.

To bring the Christmas message of Hope, Joy and Love, students at St Mary’s were invited to design various Christmas cards to be distributed to all the residents of our local care homes and hospitals.
